Banks are very conservative in the UAE and only offer loans on its own terms to established customers. As business had not been formally set up prior to the purchase, traditional lenders were not interested in lending us money to complete the purchase. Therefore, we needed to find alternative sources of money and to structure a deal that works for our needs. In order to do this, we chose to look outside of the UAE banking sector.
